Trent Reavis third in both shot put, discus


Lane Community College freshman Trent Reavis took third place in both the discus and shot put at the Northwest Athletic Conference track and field championships at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham.

Reavis, a 2018 Siuslaw graduate, had a mark of 46 feet, 1.5 inches in the shot put Tuesday and a throw of 138-6 in the discus Monday.

Reavis also had a personal-record 133-8 for seventh place in the hammer on Monday.

Southwestern Oregon sophomore Bryan Terry won the shot put at 51-11.25 and the discus at 146-0.

Joe Kirk-Woodbury, a freshman at Olympic College, won the hammer at 157-4.

Reavis contributed 14 points to the champion Lane's men's 227.5. Spokane Community College was a distant second at 155.5. Clackamas was third with 87.

Reavis qualified for the NWAC championships by winning the Southern Region Championships shot put and discus while placing fourth in the hammer.
