Vikings still have races to run this season

The track and field season isn't quite over yet for at least three Siuslaw Vikings.

Juniors Hannah Rannow and Brendon Jensen and sophomore Jaxson Jensen are entered in Friday's El Jefe 800 meters at South Eugene High School.

Sophomore Brea Blankenship may join Rannow in the girls 800, while junior Kiger Johnson may join the Jensen brothers in the boys 800.

Rannow also will run a 1,500-meter race at the Portland Track Festival over the weekend.

"She's entered in the Open 1,500 at this point," Siuslaw coach Chris Johnson said. "They might move her to the high school section, or maybe even the high performance section once they see all the entries."
