Rannow has tough intro to Champions Tour

Bob Rannow of Florence shot a final-round 80 Sunday to finish the three-day Boeing Classic golf tournament at Snoqualmie, Wash., in last place at 24 shots over par.

Rannow, 50, the PGA pro at Ocean Dunes Golf Links, was playing in his first Champions Tour event.

Brandt Jobe shot a final-round 63 to finish 18-under-par 198 to win the $315,000 first prize in the $2.1 million event. Tom Pernice Jr. was second at 15-under, while Jerry Kelly and Fred Couples tied for third at 12-under.

Rannow collected $1,302. He shot 82-78-80—240 over the three days to place 75th and last among all finishers. The event started with a field of 78.

Fred Funk withdrew during the third round, Dudley Hart withdrew during the second round and John Daly withdrew after the first round.

Rannow's final round included a birdie, a double bogey, seven bogeys and nine pars.

The event was held at the 7,217-yard, Par 72 TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge.
