Elyssa Rose is now 2-0 in her collegiate volleyball matchups with former Siuslaw Vikings teammate Makenzie York after Concordia (Ore.) swept Western Oregon in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play Tuesday in Monmouth.
Concordia won 25-17, 25-17, 25-18 to improve to 10-16 overall, 8-11 in the GNAC. Western Oregon fell to 4-22 and 2-17.
Rose, a junior middle blocker at Concordia, had a team-high five blocks and a sparking hitting percentage of .556, collecting five kills in nine swings with no hitting errors.
York, a freshman middle blocker, played in only one set Tuesday, logging one dig. This past weekend, York had a season- and team-high seven blocks against Central Washington.
Rose and York met for the first time earlier this season in Portland in a match Concordia also won 3-0.
Western Oregon and Concordia both close their seasons this week against Montana State Billings, Western Oregon the host on Thursday and Concordia the host on Saturday.
