The SBSA provides this profile of itself:

"Siuslaw Baseball Softball Association (SBSA) is a non-profit charitable corporation registered in Oregon under the Charitable Trust and Corporation Act. We are located in rural Florence, Oregon as an all-volunteer organization.  We have no paid staff and we do not maintain office space. Board membership is open to parents and interested community members. Board members elect officers once a year, in January. SBSA groups kids by age (4 to 12) to form teams of T-Ball and baseball players who are close in mental and physical maturity levels, also softball players (7 to 18). Every player will be assigned to a team and assessed by a coach to help draft teams of roughly equal ability. Everyone plays. All ages are as of May 1st; T-Ball is ages 5 and 6, Rookies is ages 7 and 8, Minors is ages 9 and 10, Majors is ages 11 and 12. Softball is 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U."
