Recap: Junior goalkeeper Derrick Vanduch posted his second shutout in a row and sophomore forwards Charles Nelson and Nicholas May each scored goals in the win. "Once again our defense played a stellar game shutting down attacking sequences and moving the ball up the field," Siuslaw coach Londi Tomaro said. "Central Linn also played solid defense and we did not get a large number of scoring opportunities." Nelson's first-half score came on a ball put in the penalty area by senior defender Alex Goss, while May took a pass from freshman defender Camden Linton and lofted a shot from well outside the 18 that dropped into the top of the net in the second half. "We're excited to continue increasing our team cohesion and elevating our game," Tomaro said.
