Parker, Weatherwax team for two triumphs
Roberta Parker and John Weatherwax won the New Year's Eve edition of the Florence Duplicate Bridge Club game Thursday afternoon at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
James Smith and Georgia Farman were second and Lloyd Little and Marilyn Buchanan third.
Tuesday, Parker and Weatherwax also won, with Little/Buchanan second and Smith/Farman third.
The Florence club is Oregon Central Coast unit 572 of the American Contract Bridge League, which sanctions the weekly games.
Club play is usually 12:30 p.m. Thursdays at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 19th and Tamarack.
