The Far West League is out of contention for a 4A state basketball title in Forest Grove.

Thursday (March 10), the Marshfield boys fell in two overtimes to Scappoose, 53-50, while the Brookings-Harbor girls lost to La Grande, 48-39.

Friday (March 11), the Pirates lost in overtime to Astoria, 69-61, to exit the tournament completely, while the Lady Bruins advanced to the consolation title opposite Banks with a 55-44 victory over Madras.

Saturday (March 12), Cascade and Sutherlin meet in the girls final at 6:30 p.m. and Philomath plays Seaside in the boys final at 8:30 p.m.
