Siuslaw juniors Carissa Oliver and Annmarie Precht each won an event with a personal best Saturday to lead the Vikings girls to a third-place finish among 31 schools in the 67th annual Grants Pass Rotary Invitational.
Oliver won the discus with a throw of 125 feet, 9 inches and Precht took the long jump at 17-00.5 as Siuslaw scored 53 points to finish behind only host Grants Pass (88) and North Medford (59).
In the separate freshman-sophomore team event, sophomore Trent Reavis and freshman Murray Bingham led the Vikings to a tie for fourth among 28 schools, while sophomore Kaylee Graham helped the Siuslaw girls place 12th among 27 schools.

Siuslaw entered only two athletes in varsity boys, and neither placed.

The Vikings have a Far West League junior varsity meet on Tuesday, May 3, at the Prefontaine Track in Coos Bay.
Siuslaw is entered in the Wally Ciochetti Invitational in Cottage Grove on Friday, May 6.
The district championships are May 13-14 at Douglas High School in Winston.
The Oregon School Activities Association state championships are May 20-21 at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene.
