Tatum captures girls 800 title in PR 2:17.62a


Siuslaw Vikings junior Destinie Tatum won the girls 800 meters Saturday at the Oregon School Activities Association 4A track and field championships at Hayward Field in Eugene.

Tatum was timed in a personal-record 2 minutes, 17.62a seconds.

Tatum was scheduled to run the anchor leg later Saturday in the 4x400 relay.
