Two pairs tied for first and another two pair were hot on their heels Thursday in the Florence Duplicate Bridge Club's weekly game at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.

Sharing first place with 28.5 points were the teams of John Weatherwax-James Smith and Georgia Farman-John Reisner. Doreen MacNeil-Lloyd Little were third with 27.5 and Roberta Parker-Kenneth Hampsten fourth with 27.

Marian Weiss-Mary Ford were fifth with 19.5 and Anna Hendershot-Beverly Rozaire Brown sixth with 19.

The Florence club is Oregon Central Coast unit 572 of the American Contract Bridge League, which sanctions the weekly games.

Club play is usually 12:30 p.m. Thursdays at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 19th and Tamarack.

There will be no game Thursday, Sept. 29, the club announced.
