Carly Grossmiller had 17 points Friday to lead the Elmira Falcons to a 54-42 victory over the Siuslaw Vikings in a nonleague girls basketball game at Elmira.

The game was tied at 26-26 at halftime. The loss dropped Siuslaw to 0-2 on the season.

Vikings freshmen Lindsey Long and Brea Blankenship had 12 points each for team honors. Sydney Greene added 10 points for Elmira.

Siuslaw's six-game road trip to open the season continues Tuesday at Newport. Tip off is 7 p.m.
