Siuslaw Vikings senior Richard Huff improved to 16-4 Saturday with a third-place finish in the 38-school Grants Pass Winter Kickoff high school wrestling tournament.

Huff won four of five matches in the tournament, three by pin and the fourth by major decision in the 126-pound division.

Vikings junior Riley Jennings (170) and sophomore Matt Horrillo (285) each placed sixth.

Siuslaw finished 16th as a team with 49 points. Crater won with 241 and Marshfield was second with 204.

Siuslaw next wrestles Thursday, Jan. 4, at the Far West League Dual at Winston, competing with host Douglas and North Bend.
