The Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club will pay for someone to chair the 2019 auction committee.

"The (SABC) board voted and approved a stipend for the auction chair position for the 2019 booster auction," public relations director Pam Hickson posted Tuesday on the club's Facebook page.

"Anyone interested in becoming the auction chair should send a letter of interest to (president) Steve Moser at smoser@siuslawk12.or.us by Dec. 16.

"A decision on auction chair candidates will be determined at the Dec. 17th meeting."

Karen Roos Perry guided last year's successful auction efforts, but did not carry the title.

Jennifer King Waggoner was auction chair the previous two years, directing two Barn Bash benefits that raised $100,000.

The auction is the club's major source of revenue in support of Siuslaw middle school and high school athletics.

The auction usually is held in late summer in conjunction with the Siuslaw Hall of Fame Inductions, which the club supports.
