Siuslaw senior Alyssa Richards scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds Friday to rally the Lady Vikings to a 67-53 victory over Samuel Robertson (B.C.) in a nonleague girls basketball game at Harrisburg.

The win lifted Siuslaw, 2-3, into the fourth-place game in the eight-school Les Schwab Eagle Booster Club Classic at Junction City and Harrisburg.

The Lady Vikings are scheduled to play co-host Harrisburg at 1:30 p.m. at Harrisburg.

Friday, the Vikings dominated the second half after falling behind 32-23 at the break. Siuslaw outscored the British Columbia school 24-14 in the third quarter to take a 1-point lead, 47-46, then put the game away with a 20-7 run in the final quarter.

Richards hit 9 of 14 field goals and 5 of 6 free throws. Sophomores Lindsey Long and Brea Blankenship added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
