Vikings get second shot at Bulldogs, Billies
The Siuslaw boys basketball team gets a second shot at both Sutherlin and Pleasant Hill this week as the Vikings continue nonleague play.
The Vikings (2-4) are at Sutherlin on Tuesday, with a 7:15 p.m. scheduled tipoff, and host the Billies on Friday, with a 7:30 p.m. scheduled tipoff.
Siuslaw went 1-2 at the recent Les Schwab Eagle Booster Club Classic, hosted by Harrisburg and Junction City.
The losses were by 77-39 Thursday to Pleasant Hill and 44-33 Saturday to Sutherlin.
Junior Caleb Hennessee had 15 points and senior Dylan Wynn 12 in the loss to the Bulldogs in the eight-school tournament's consolation final.
Sutherlin is 5-1 and is No. 9 in the Oregon School Activities Association 4A rankings, while Pleasant Hill is 4-1 and No. 12 in the OSAA 3A rankings.
Both games this week are scheduled to be carried by Coast Radio.
