Sutherlin limited Siuslaw to 5 points in the second half Tuesday as the Bulldogs raced to a 64-23 nonleague boys basketball victory over the Vikings at Sutherlin.

The Vikings, 2-5, who have played six of seven games on the road, return home Friday, hosting the Pleasant Hill Billies. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Sutherlin forward Mason Gill, a 6-foot-3 junior, scored 19 of his game-high 22 points in the first half as the Bulldogs built a 30-18 lead.

Sutherlin outscored the Vikings 15-4 in the third quarter and 19-1 in the fourth.

The Vikings made a game of it early, trailing by only 3 after the first quarter, 13-10.

Siuslaw tied the game at 15 early in the second quarter, but was outscored 49-8 the rest of the way.

Siuslaw junior Caleb Hennessee led the Vikings with 9 points.
