Siuslaw freshman wrestler Hayden Muller pinned three opponents Saturday to place third in the 135-pound class at the two-day Grants Pass Kickoff Classic.

Teammate Bailey Overton, a freshman, was fifth at 120 and junior Kinga Bugajska fifth at 145 as the Lady Vikings finished 13th in the 46-school event with 37 points.

In the boys competition, Siuslaw junior Matthew Horrillo was fourth at 285 and senior Riley Jennings fifth at 170.

Siuslaw was 20th in the 42-school field with 35 points with Saturday's finals yet to be contested.

The Vikings will compete in Tuesday's Central Coast Challenge at North Bend, their final event of the calendar year.

Siuslaw resumes its schedule Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Bend Invitational.
