The Junction City Tigers may have clinched a trip to the Class 4A boys basketball playoffs following Thursday's 69-35 victory over the visiting Siuslaw Vikings.

The Vikings finished 5-19 overall and 0-10 in the Sky-Em League. Senior Dylan Wynn had a team-high 14 points for Siuslaw.

Junction City finished the regular season 12-12 overall and third place in league at 6-4.

The Tigers are on the cusp of qualifying as a play-in team, but need to await the final 4A rankings.

Rankings freeze at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19

Elsewhere, Marshfield and Marist both won to finish as Sky-Em League co-champions.

The two teams play at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Siuslaw's Glenn Butler Court to determine seeding for state.

Marshfield won at Elmira, 75-52, and Marist at Cottage Grove, 38-37.

NOTES

The state quarterfinals, semifinals and finals are March 7-9 in Forest Grove. …
