The Siuslaw Vikings junior varsity boys soccer team has upped its game for the coming season.

The Vikings opened last fall without a schedule and with some question they could field a team.

They finished a competitive 0-4-1, with all five matches on the road.

Siuslaw has seven games already scheduled for 2019, including its first-ever home match and dates against the other five schools in the Sky-Em League.

Nyra Campbell will be back as head coach, assisted by Londi Tomaro.

Girls again will play, with the goal of establishing girls-only teams in the near future.

The ultimate plan is to field varsity and junior varsity teams for both the boys and girls.
