Conlee, Soran stepping down from SABC

The Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club will have some roster openings when it returns to action this fall.

The SABC will need to replace at least four positions, vice president, secretary, treasurer and membership chair.

Two major losses include secretary Diane Conlee, who is retiring from teaching and moving to Arizona, and longtime treasurer Vicki Soran.

SABC president Steven Moser thanked Soran for her years of service at Monday's monthly meeting, the last of the current school year.

Vice president is listed as open, while outgoing membership chair Anna Moser has announced her intent to run for secretary.

Other SABC officers include high school athletic director Chris Johnson, middle school athletic director Jeromy Graybill, member-at-large Chad Smith and Pam Hickson, in charge of public relations.

Auction chair Tracy Aaron, also on the board, has a planning committee meeting set for 6 p.m. Wednesday at Homegrown Restaurant.

Theme of the Aug. 10 auction-dinner is Havana Nights.
