Military museum tourney tees off Aug. 24


The second annual Oregon Coast Military Museum Golf Tournament tees off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Florence Golf Links.

Event features a different format on each hole, with four hole-in-one contests.

Prizes included a Ford F150, a Smoke Craft Boat, a set of Callaway irons, an LED flat panel television and a roundtrip domestic airfare for two.

A putting contest will have a $2,500 prize. Men and women will compete for most accurate drive, longest drive and closest to pin.

The driving range and putting green will open at 7:30 a.m.

Dinner and an awards celebration follow at the OCMM, 2145 Kingwood Street.
