The Siuslaw Vikings bowling team is holding a fundraiser golf tournament Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Crestview Golf Club in Waldport.

There is a 9 a.m. shotgun start for the four-player team scramble.

Entry fee is $70 per player which includes 18 holes of golf, dinner and prizes.

Teams can register by calling the Crestview Golf Club at 541-563-3020.

The Vikings swept both the boys and girls District 4 titles last season to advance to state.

The girls finished sixth and the boys eighth at the state tournament at the Firebird Lanes in Salem.

"We are hoping that more high school kids to decide to look into the Siuslaw bowling teams," Holiday Bowl posted on its Facebook page.

"What better sport to be involved in than ones that consistently go to state."

FALL/WINTER LEAGUES AT HOLIDAY BOWL

Fall/winter bowling league play begins Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Holiday Bowl in Florence.

Leagues include:

• Youth leagues, 7 p.m. Mondays instead of past weekend play
• Mixed social leagues on Sunday and Wednesday evenings
• Men's league on Thursday evenings
• Senior leagues on Wednesday and Friday afternoons
• Open league Tuesday nights, featuring higher prize money
