The Siuslaw Vikings wrestling team opens the new year Saturday at the 15-school Bend Invite.

Siuslaw has 21 athletes entered, 7 in boys varsity, 2 in girls varsity and 12 in junior varsity.

Vikings scheduled to wrestle today include Yoskar Delamora (106 pounds), Mason Buss (120), Elijah LaCosse (145), Ryan Jennings (152), Louis Gentry (170), Christian Newlan (195) and Matthew Horrillo (285).

Lady Vikings wrestling include Bailey Overton (120) and Hayden Muller (135).

JV wrestlers entered include Ian Sissel, Lucian Murphy, Michael Shick, John Corser, Kyle Hughes, Hunter Petterson, JC Gentry, Jaime Morales Martin-Mora, Jonathon Rose, Logan Wells, Jason Garcia and Chance O'Brien.

Next up for Siuslaw is a dual meet with Sutherlin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Butler Court.
