The Siuslaw Vikings volleyball team will open its 2020 season by hosting Bandon and Douglas on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Glenn Butler Court (as of Jan. 25 on the school's OSAA web page).

Siuslaw is at Newport on Sept. 1, then hosts Pleasant Hill on Sept. 3.

The schedule also calls for the Lady Vikings to host Phoenix and visit Sutherlin on Sept. 10. No word of if it's a split squad or if the team is teleporting to Sutherlin.

The Lady Vikings are entered in three tournaments, Sept. 19 at Sisters, Oct. 3 at Junction City and Oct. 17 at Marshfield.

The Sky-Em League schedule has yet to be announced.

Siuslaw is coached by Jon Hornung, assisted by Dan Bartlett.

Junior varsity coaches are Lona Dengler and Jeremiah Tupua.

Siuslaw advanced to state last season and finished ranked No. 18 by the OSAA with a 10-12 record, including 4-6 in the Sky-Em League.

CROSS COUNTRY

The Siuslaw cross country team has two dates so far on its 2020 schedule, Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Spartan Invite at Marist Catholic in Eugene and the Woahink Lake XC Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 3.
