The Siuslaw Vikings girls basketball team opened Sky-Em League play Friday with a 63-31 loss at Cottage Grove.

Siuslaw senior Mia Collins had a team-high 16 points.

The Lady Vikings, 1-14, next host Marist Catholic (6-6) at 7:15 p.m. at Glenn Butler Court.

Cottage Grove, 10-5, plays Tuesday at Marshfield.

Cottage Grove is ranked No. 7 in the OSAAtoday's Class 4A coaches' poll.

In other games Friday, Marist Catholic beat visiting Elmira, 49-20, and Junction City beat visiting Marshfield, 43-28.
