Siuslaw sophomores Bailey Overton and Hayden Muller each won titles Saturday to lead the Lady Vikings to a tie for fourth place in the Nick Lutz Girls Invitational wrestling tournament at Glenn Butler Court.

Overton, 5-0 this season, pinned Claire Mattson of Newport in 19 seconds in the semifinals and Alexus Nisick-Besio of Churchill in 5 minutes, 41 seconds in the championship match at 120 pounds

Muller, 12-3, pinned all three of her opponents at 135, Kaiden Fletcher-Vogel of Newport in 49 seconds, Madalyn Hampel of North Bend in 1:23 and Kendyl Seiber of Creswell in 1:46.

Overton scored 22 team points and Muller 20 as the Lady Vikings tied Newport with 42. Churchill and Sutherlin, with six wrestlers each, finished 1-2 with 58.5 and 57.

Creswell, with five wrestlers, was third with 56. Newport had four wrestlers.

Sixteen schools participated in the one-day event.
