Junior forward Alec Vendetti scored 19 points and senior guard Nick Stice added 15 Tuesday to lead Marist Catholic to a 48-31 victory over the Siuslaw Vikings in a Sky-Em League boys basketball game at Glenn Butler Court.

Marist Catholic, ranked No. 1 by OSAAtoday, improved to 12-3 overall and 2-0 in league.

The Vikings fell to 7-9 and 1-1.

Siuslaw next hosts the Marshfield Pirates at 5:45 p.m. Friday.

Marshfield beat visiting Cottage Grove 76-51 Tuesday, while Junction City won at Elmira, 58-46.

Junior Liam McClellan and sophomore Brody Terry led the Vikings on Tuesday with 7 points each.

Sophomores Rhys Fleming and Braydon Thornton added 4 points each.

Marist built a 25-16 lead at halftime, outscoring Siuslaw 11-2 to finish the second quarter.

Marist outscored Siuslaw in each quarter, 12-7 in the first, 13-9 in the second, 12-7 in the third and 11-8 in the fourth.
