The Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club will be a happy beneficiary of Friday night happy hours at Homegrown Public House & Brewery, 294 Laurel Street.

Specialty flatbreads and "a flight of brew" will be available for $20 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays until spring break (March 21-29).

Featured flatbreads this Friday are the Homegrown vegetarian and the chick bacon ranch.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the SABC.

"We are excited to be able to help our local alumni raise funds for our school," according to a Homegrown news release.

It's a rare opportunity for the booster club, SABC president Steve Moser said.

"We haven't had any other business offer anything like this before," he said. "If more do, that would be awesome though.

"Homegrown actually reached out to us about the idea on their own. Free support and fundraising? Yes please!"
