Sophomore co-captain Cienna Hartle scored a game-high 16 points Friday to lead the Junction City Tigers to a 48-33 victory over the visiting Siuslaw Vikings in Sky-Em League girls basketball play.

The Lady Vikings finished the first half of league play 0-5, falling to 1-18 overall with five regular-season games remaining.

The Lady Tigers are 3-2 and 9-10.

Mia Collins had a team-high 14 points with 4 blocked shots for Siuslaw. Lindsey Long added 11 points.

Gracie Freudenthal had 6 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Vikings scored the first six points of the game and led 11-8 after the first quarter.

Junction City dominated the second quarter, 21-8, to take a 10-point lead into halftime, 29-19.

The Lady Tigers upped the lead to 12 after three quarters, 37-25.

The Lady Vikings rallied to trim the deficit to 8, 40-32, with 5:30 to play, but that is as close as they would get.

Siuslaw opens the second half of league play Tuesday, hosting Cottage Grove at 5:45 p.m. at Glenn Butler Court.

Elsewhere in the Sky-Em League, Cottage Grove (5-0, 14-5) won at Marist Catholic (4-1, 9-7), 47-37, and Marshfield (2-3, 7-12) won at Elmira (1-4, 3-15), 38-34.
