Marist Catholic junior Ben Morehouse scored 31 points Friday to lead the Spartans to a 64-37 victory over the visiting Siuslaw Vikings in Sky-Em League boys basketball.

Siuslaw, 3-4 in league and 9-12 overall, plays its next two games on the road, Tuesday at Marshfield and Friday at Elmira.

The Vikings close the regular season Tuesday, Feb. 18, hosting Junction City on senior recognition night at Glenn Butler Court.

Marist Catholic, ranked No. 1 in Class 4A by OSAAtoday, improved to 7-0 in league and 17-3 overall.

Siuslaw sophomore Brody Terry had 14 points to lead the Vikings in scoring Friday.

Marist Catholic consistently pulled away from Siuslaw, leading 17-10 after the first quarter, 38-20 at halftime and 52-30 entering the fourth quarter.

In other Sky-Em League games Friday, Marshfield (4-3, 13-7) won at Cottage Grove (1-6, 5-16), 57-47, and Junction City (5-2, 14-8) won at Elmira (1-6, 5-15), 60-46.
