Lady Vikings' Hayden Muller fourth at state

Siuslaw sophomore Hayden Muller placed fourth at 135 pounds Saturday at the all-classifications girls state wrestling championships in Portland.

Muller lost to former state champion Charli Stewart of Bend in the third-place match, losing by fall in 49 seconds.

Lady Vikings teammate Bailey Overton finished 1-2 in the two-day tournament, losing by fall in the consolation semifinals at 120 to Ayana Medino of Hillsboro in 48 seconds.

The Oregon School Activities Association tournament was held at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Thurston won the team title with 72 points, followed by Bend with 66, Century with 49.5 and Elmira with 42.

Siuslaw was 37th of 53 schools with 10.
