New director of bands for Siuslaw schools
Cody Kiesling Recent University of Oregon graduate Cody Kiesling has been named director of bands for Siuslaw schools, district superintendent Andy Grzeskowiak announced Tuesday.
The Medford native was a member of the Oregon marching band for four years, earning a bachelor's degree in music education while focusing on the French horn and band pedagogy.
Kiesling finished his career as drum major, conducting the Oregon marching band at the Rose Bowl.
Kiesling enjoys playing basketball, running and hiking.
Kiesling succeeds Chris Rowbotham, who now is a member of the Siuslaw School District's technology services team.
