Siuslaw junior Rylee Colton earned first-team honors on the 2020-21 OSAA Class 4A all-state cross country team, Vikings coach and athletic director Chris Johnson announced Tuesday.

Colton was one of eight Vikings to garner all-state accolades. Four other Siuslaw runners earned all-district distinction, giving the Vikings a total of 12 all-stars at the state or district level.

Senior Brea Blankenship, junior Chad Hughes and sophomore Sam Ulrich were second team; seniors Gracie Freudenthal and Jaxson Jensen were third team; and freshmen Jane Lacouture and Brayden Linton were honorable mention.

Siuslaw had seven first-team all-Sky-Em League members: Colton, Blankenship, Freudenthal, Hughes, Ulrich, Jensen, Linton and sophomore Kyle Hughes.

Four Vikings were second-team all-league: Lacouture, freshman Corduroy Holbrook, freshman Dylan Jensen and sophomore Jacob Blankenship.

Siuslaw swept both boys and girls district and state titles, earning Johnson four more coach-of-the-year honors.
