The Siuslaw Middle School is starting the new school year with most of its coaching needs met, reports athletic director Jeromy Graybill.

Dan Rankin is the head football coach, but still is in need of an assistant.

Volleyball will be coached by Cassidie Coxen (eighth grade), Valerie Graybill (seventh grade) and volunteer Dan Bartlett.

Ryan Roach is head coach for cross country, assisted by Lucas Korber and volunteer Liz Hughes.

Ethan Dougherty will coach both boys and girls eighth-grade basketball, while Jeromy Graybill will coach seventh-grade boys and girls. Jeff Gowing is an assistant.

The school is in the middle of the hiring process for a wrestling coach to replace Hannah Wartnik.

Roach also will head track and field, with assistants Korber and Katie Wells and volunteer Liz Hughes.
