In order to try and keep our web presence afloat during Friday and Saturday nights during the high school football season, ScoringLive came up with the concept of a 'lite' version of our website.

Our traffic patterns dictated that the majority of users coming during game nights were after mainly current scores and stats, so we developed a special framework that we hope will be able to deliver the most sought after content with little to no interruption in service.

During this research and development period we ask for your patience and understanding as we try to develop the best and fastest delivery method to get game night scores and stats to the ScoringLive community.

About Exploding Whale Sports

Exploding Whale Sports, featuring sports and recreation in the Florence, Oregon, area, was launched Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, the first day of practice for the Siuslaw High School fall sports season.

The new website will include stories, photos, schedules, statistics, announcements and more, with the content largely dependent on the support and goodwill of the people who live in or near the coastal community.

"The goal is to augment the coverage of the town's fine local paper, the Siuslaw News," says website founder Stan Pusieski, who retired to Florence following a 45-year career in sports journalism in Oregon, Hawaii and Guam.

"Send us your press releases, your story ideas, your great photos of people at play, and we will try our best to get the word out. This is a great community, and sports and recreation plays a part in that."
