Siuslaw varsity teams open season Nov. 8
Dusty Anderson, left, manager at Holiday Bowl says he still has openings on the Siuslaw High School girls bowling team. The Siuslaw Vikings varsity bowling teams get rolling Sunday, Nov. 8, with the boys at Cottage Grove and the girls at Reedsport.
The boys team roster is filled at 14 players, but the girls team has several openings.
Coaches for the Vikings are Holiday Bowl manager Dusty Anderson, his brother Dirk and Dirk's wife Kathy.
Team practices are 6:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Holiday Bowl, 27th and Highway 101 in Florence.
District qualifying is Jan. 24, 2016, at Firs Bowl in Eugene. The state tournament is Feb. 19-21 in Klamath Falls and the all-star tournament March 12-13 at a site to be announced.
There also are openings in youth bowling, Grades 1-6 and 6-12.
