Siuslaw's 11 seniors pose for a moms-mandated photo shoot after the game: front row, Ryan Denning (5), Scott Gordon (3), Caleb Paredes (24, number not visible), Preston Mitchell (4); back row, Sean Rojas (68), Dylan Jennings (78), Reese Siegel (84, number not visible), Carsson Davidson (20), Michael Mason (51, number partially visible), Kenneth Thrall (9) and Marshall Teter (42).

Senior moments from some of the 11 Siuslaw Vikings football players on Homecoming/Senior Recognition night:

PRESTON MITCHELL,
quarterback-defensive back

Overall, it was a lot of fun. I'm going to miss it a lot, not playing with some of these guys. At the same time, we had a great run.

It's not over yet. If we can get one more at home that would be great. But I understand, if this was the last one, it was great. It was lot of fun to play in front of such a great community.

Kenny Thrall did awesome. Scotty (Gordon) played a great game. Up front, the whole O-line did an awesome job, made my job easy.

Caleb (Paredes) had an awesome catch there at the end. Carsson Davidson played great on defense.

DYLAN JENNINGS,
offensive lineman-defensive lineman

Senior Night was something else. Watching this team like 10 years ago was like watching NFL players, just something that seemed way above us. Being introduced here is just crazy at this point.

In all the last three weeks we didn't execute the way we should have. It's a little bit of a wash (against Douglas). We won, but we could have done a lot better.

I don't remember the last time we missed the playoffs, and that's a cool testament to Siuslaw tradition. Just play hard, be better.

MICHAEL MASON,
offensive lineman-defensive lineman

It's the enjoyment of being part of each other's lives, and I think that tells a lot about the football team throughout these seven games.

Our last one, next week, against Brookings. Long trip. We haven't even grown apart. We don't fight in practice. We are such a strong brotherhood. I love every moment of it.

REESE SIEGEL,
tight end-linebacker

When I joined this year, at the beginning of the season, I really wanted to play because I'd seen as a junior the close-knit bond that the team had. I really wanted to be a part of that.

I decided to come out this year, and I'm sure glad I did. I've had so much fun playing with these boys. They truly are like my family.

This night, it was emotional. It's great that we got the win. I wish we could have played better. But glad I came out. These boys are amazing. I'd do anything for them.

KENNETH THRALL,
running back-linebacker-kicker

It was a good time. I liked the passing because I could drop back against them. It was nice. Wish we hadn't let them score as much. But it's alright. We put up 42. So, good offensive day for us.

Emotions high. My brothers played here. I mean it's an amazing feeling. I made sure I enjoyed the moment when I was down on the field. It was nice.

I'm going to miss 'em all. All 10. I'm going to miss 'em all. We still have some more games, so we'll be together.

We have never lost to Brookings. It'll be a dogfight. They have good athletes, so we'll see how it goes down there.

SCOTT GORDON,
wide receiver-defensive back

It was a lot of fun to play the pass a little bit. Obviously it shows on film that we can't cover screens, so that's what I'm a little nervous about, because Brookings has that. So we're going to have to work on some things this week. It was fun. It was a lot of fun.

When I was a little kid. Baseballs. Footballs. Anything I could get my hands on I'd throw it up. I just loved playing with balls. Maybe my first word was ball, I really don't remember. We'll just say it was ball. I just remember, growing up, wow, that's going to be me some day.

I was remembering my sophomore year, and how this year was so far off. Then this summer I was thinking, I still have some more time. And then, like three weeks ago, I still have some more time. But now it's just one more league game. I mean, it's crazy. It just tells you how time flies.
