The young Siuslaw Vikings girls finished sixth Saturday in the 2016 OSAA/U.S. Bank/Les Schwab Tires Cheerleading State Championships in Portland.
Klamath Union won the 4A small schools competition with a total score of 175.10. South Umpqua was second with 161.30.
Siuslaw scored 138.10.
The Vikings had the second-highest total in tumbling/jumps among the nine competing schools with a 56.40. Only Klamath Union was better, with a 58.50.
However, the Vikings were last in building skills with a 40.70. Again, Klamath Union was best with a 67.60.
Baker had the top score for overall routine with a 50.00. Siuslaw was sixth with 41.00.
