Siuslaw Vikings senior Dylan Jennings placed fourth and sophomore Ricky Huff sixth Saturday in the 4A state wrestling championships in Portland.
Cascade sophomore Louie Sanchez pinned Jennings in the match for third place in 5 minutes, 19 seconds. Earlier, Jennings lost his championship semifinal to Brogan Howard of Crook County, then beat Justin Crum of Sutherlin in the consolation semifinals.
Saturday was a long day for Huff, who had four matches, all against seeded wrestlers. He finished 3-3 over two days, including losing twice to Baker's Jace Hays, in the first round Friday and in the fifth-place match Saturday.
Vikings senior Talamoa Tupua lost his only match of the day Saturday, pinned by Elijah Livingston of La Grande in 2:21.
Freshman Murray Bingham lost both his matches Friday and did not wrestle Saturday.
It was the second state championship of the school year for Bingham, who placed 10th last fall in the 4A state cross country championships for the Vikings.
Siuslaw was 20th in team scoring with 26 points. Crook County won the team title with 249 points.
Marshfield was second overall and best among Far West League schools with 175 points.
Douglas had 10 points, while Brookings-Harbor and South Umpqua had 3 each. North Bend failed to score.
