The Siuslaw Vikings were 14th among the girls and 15th among the boys in the 2016 Oregon High School Bowling Championships Feb. 26-28 at the Epicenter in Klamath Falls.
Mazama (Klamath Falls) won both the boys and girls titles.
Rex Putnam (Milwaukie) was second among the girls, North Bend third and Roseburg fourth.
Marshfield was second among the boys, Molalla third and Centennial (Gresham) fourth.
The Vikings girls were 12th in the 16-school field after qualifying. Siuslaw lost to Roseburg and Sam Barlow (Gresham) in the double-elimination championship playoffs.

Siuslaw's Abby Coday was eighth overall among the 106 girls in individual scoring. The top five qualified as all-stars, including top finisher Arianna Campbell of North Bend.
Dixie Dyess was 51st, Maxine Jones 54th, Summer Large 66th, Hanna Anderson 76th, Sequoya Bernard 89th and Taryn Larson 91st.
Patrick Hill was the top Viking among 110 boys, finishing 25th.
Neil DeVera was 26th, Logan Lindner 62nd, Evan Johnson 46th, Aaron Fleetwood 63rd and Chandler Call 76th.
The Siuslaw boys qualified for the state tournament by winning the District 4 championships on Jan. 24 at Firs Bowl in Eugene. Second-place Marshfield and third-place Cottage Grove also qualified for state.
The Siuslaw girls qualified for the state tournament by finishing third in the District 4 championships, also Jan. 24 at First Bowl. Cottage Grove was first and North Bend second.
