Eight members of the Siuslaw Vikings baseball team have been named to the Far West League all-star team.

Senior shortstop Kenneth Thrall and senior center fielder Caleb Paredes were named to the first team.

Junior first baseman Brogan Cornish and Mapleton freshman pitcher Gabe Simington, who plays for the Vikings, were named to the second team.

Four Vikings earned honorable mention, including junior pitcher Michael Larson, senior catcher Michael Mason, senior second baseman Scott Gordon and sophomore third baseman Jared Brandt.

North Bend senior catcher Zach Inskeep was named player of the year and North Bend's Brad Horning was named coach of the year.
