The Siuslaw Vikings girls basketball team will tip off its 2016-17 campaign with three nonleague home games at Glenn Butler gym.

Siuslaw hosts Creswell on Nov. 30, Elmira on Dec. 2 and Newport on Dec. 6, all scheduled for 6 p.m. tipoffs.

The Vikings begin Far West League play also at home, playing South Umpqua at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13.

The Siuslaw Vikings' girls basketball summer league wraps up home play Monday, June 27, with a Blue-Gold Game at the high school's main gym, tipping off at 5 p.m.

Players will be competing for a chance to play in a tournament in Harrisburg later in the week.

First practice for the 2016-17 season is Monday, Nov. 14.
