The Siuslaw Vikings boys basketball team will open the Dylan Perry era at home on Wednesday, Nov. 30, hosting 3A Creswell at 7:30 p.m.

Perry, a former Vikings star, will be Siuslaw's third coach in as many seasons.

The Vikings will face five of the six Sky-Em League teams in preleague play, three at home (Elmira, Sutherlin and Junction City) and two on the road (Cottage Grove and Sweet Home).

Sisters is the only Sky-Em team the Vikings will not play.

Other preseason opponents include Newport and Cascade of the Oregon West Conference, Corbett of the Tri-Valley League and 2A rival Waldport.

The schedule also includes a tournament at Junction City and a Cross-Over Tournament, with opponents yet to be named.

The Vikings open Far West League play at home on Friday, Jan. 13, hosting South Umpqua.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

First practice for Perry and the Vikings is Monday, Nov. 14.
