Robert Arce-Torres, Dave Tweedy, Randy Wilson and Grant Forrest teamed to win the gross title Saturday at the seventh annual Rotary Cool at the Coast Golf Tournament at Ocean Dunes Golf Links.

The foursome fired a 17-under-par 54 to beat the 56 posted by runners-up Mark Mobley, Sean Mobley, Ryan Dawes and Mitch Wade.

Kevin McMullen, Mike Harrigan, Eric Hoberg and Justin Kramer captured low net with a 42 (gross 60). Ed Pfannmuller, Gary Kadel, Lloyd Baker and Ben Holder second with a 44 (59 gross).

The tournament helped raise money for Rotary International's Polio Plus program, which aims to eliminate the disease worldwide.

Players paid $80 to compete, and 140 played in the event, with two teams at each of the 18 holes lining up for the 10 a.m. shotgun start.

The fee covered 18 holes of golf, breakfast snacks, beverages on the course, a cart and picnic lunch.

Prizes also were awarded for long drive, accuracy drive and KPs (closest to the pin) on all par 3s.

Five golfers also drew for a chance to win $5,000. Charlie Acevedo of Florence sank his putt qualify for the shot at $5,000, and then gave it a good run but just missed on a 50-foot putt on the ninth green.
