Fall sports season tickets are now on sale


Family passes for Siuslaw Vikings home football and volleyball matches and reserved season tickets for football go on sale Monday, Aug. 29, at the high school main office.

Tickets will be available 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Sept. 1. Previous ticket holders can come in 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 24-25.

Family passes are $50 for all home volleyball and football games, while reserved ticket prices for football are $20 per seat for the three home games.

Football home games include Sept. 16 vs. Newport (noneleague) and Far West League games Sept. 30 vs. North Bend and Oct. 21 vs. Brookings-Harbor.

The Brookings-Harbor game also is homecoming and senior recognition night.

The volleyball team currently has a seven-game home schedule, including nonleague matches Sept. 6 vs. Elmira and Sept. 8 vs. Pleasant Hill.

The Vikings' home volleyball schedule for Far West League play includes Sept. 13 vs. South Umpqua, Sept. 20 vs. Brookings-Harbor, Sept. 22 vs. Douglas, Oct. 4 vs. Marshfield and Oct. 13 vs. North Bend.

The North Bend game on Oct. 13 is senior recognition night for volleyball.

Adult general admission for single games is $5.

There is no admission for the two Vikings home cross country meets, the Woahink Invitational on Oct. 1 at Honeyman State Park and The Run for the Brownies on Oct. 20 at Sandpines Golf Links.

In other news, a final determination has yet to be made on whether the Vikings field a junior varsity football team this fall, according to athletic director Chris Johnson.
