James Smith and John Neimand captured the Florence Duplicate Bridge Club's club championship game Thursday with a 30.5 score at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.

David Gustafson and Marian Weiss were second with 27, with Beverly Rozaire-Brown and Kim Klindtworth third with 25.5.

John Weatherwax and Roberta Parker shared fourth place with Georgia Farman and John Reisner with 25 and Doreen MacNeil and Kenneth Hampsten were sixth with 17.

The Florence club is Oregon Central Coast unit 572 of the American Contract Bridge League, which sanctions the weekly games.

Club play is usually 12:30 p.m. Thursdays at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 19th and Tamarack.

The game scheduled for Oct. 27 has been canceled.
