The Siuslaw Vikings girls basketball team will play Phoenix at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the opening game of the Far West/Skyline Crossover Tournament at North Valley High School in Grants Pass.

Saturday, the Vikings will play North Valley at 11:15 a.m.

Siuslaw is 3-6 on the season and has a game at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Waldport to open 2017.

The Vikings are ranked No. 38 among 40 Class 4A schools by the Oregon School Activities Association.

Phoenix is 4-6 and ranked No. 31 by the OSAA.

North Valley is 5-6 and ranked No. 27.

Next week the Vikings host Junction City at 7 p.m. Tuesday, then open Far West League play on Friday, Jan. 13, hosting South Umpqua.
