The Siuslaw Vikings boys basketball team opened Far West League play Friday with a 39-32 victory over the No. 14-ranked South Umpqua Lancers at Glenn Butler Court.
Vikings junior center Trent Reavis scored a game-high 19 points, according to the Coos Bay World.
Siuslaw improved to 6-8 on the season. South Umpqua is 9-6.
The Vikings next play at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Marshfield.
In other Far West League openers, Marshfield worked overtime to win at Brookings-Harbor, 45-42, and North Bend held off visiting Douglas, 64-61.
