The Florence area's lone 2017 sanctioned volkswalk will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, at Honeyman State Park.

The Walk by Three Lakes 10K and 5K is sponsored by the Yachats Coastal Gems Volkssports Club and sanctioned by the American Volkssports Association.

The walk start box for the event is at the Sportsman, 249 Highway 101, in Florence.

The Sportsman is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
